I
can’t believe it’s been a year
since I wrote a newsletter! I’m
so sorry! Time just flew by.
Our trip to
Detroit last September was fun
and I thoroughly enjoyed my
booksigning at Paperbacks ‘N
Things--it was the highlight of
my trip! We’re going again this
year, but since my last releases
(GIVE
ME MORE and
THE FIREFIGHTER) were in
February and my October release,
NAUGHTY, NAUGHTY won’t
be out yet, I don’t plan on
doing a book signing.
THE
COWBOY and
PLEASURE BEACH took
FIRST and third in the same
category (single
title/mainstream) in the Judge A
Book By Its Cover contest! I
framed the certificates and have
them hanging in my office.
A reader
recently saw
PLEASURE BEACH being
read by the star on a TV show.
What a thrill!
Good news!
THE COWBOY did so well,
Kensington asked me to do
another cowboy anthology! My
novella, HARD IN THE SADDLE,
will be in ONLY WITH A COWBOY,
releasing in May 2008. I love
that title!
The Romance
Writers of America conference
was in Dallas this year. My
husband drove me up and then
came back to pick me up five
days later. As usual, it was
packed with authors and fabulous
workshops, great food. This
year was particularly exciting
because I finally met my editor,
John Scognamiglio. He rarely
attends National due to
scheduling conflicts. I had
drinks with my new friend Lois
Winston and several Aphrodisia
authors, including my pal Susan
Lyons (who also won the
Booksellers Best award for her
debut book Champagne Rules!)
I came home exhausted and loaded
down with free books.
The book
formerly known as Hip Deep is
now called MAKE ME SCREAM
and will release in February
2008. The cover flats came last
weekend--it’s gorgeous! I loved
the color on my
PLEASURE BEACH cover,
but I think this cover is my
favorite, to date. I already
have it framed and hanging with
the others here in my office.
I’m
currently working on my next
novel for Aphrodisia, a one
author anthology, DOUBLE TAKE.
I’m having so much fun writing
it! I hope everyone enjoys
reading it. No release date
yet.
I hope
everyone had a great year and
summer and has a safe Labor Day.
