Happy July! I can't believe how
quickly the summer is flying by. We
have been anticipating the
completion of our new home and will
be closing on it this month. Just
think, I will have a whole, brand
new office to mess up! Kind of
boggles the mind, doesn't it?
I'm so excited about Kensington's
new Aphrodisia book club.
It offers two books free just so you
can see if you like Aphrodisia (and
who wouldn't?). You can find
out more about it on my
website.
The first books ship soon so don't
wait!
I'm still waiting on the cover flats
of GIVE ME MORE and The Firefighter
(ALL FIRED UP), both February
releases. As soon as I get them, I
will scan them and get them up on
the web site. Okay, maybe my
husband will do the scanning and
creating of the jpg, and the web
mistress at NovelTalk will put them
on the site, since I am still a
hopeless techno-tard. Regardless,
I'll have something to show soon.
My new Christmas novella (Christmas
2007 release) is HOT FOR CHRISTMAS.
The hero is a bah-humbug kind of guy
and the heroine is nutso for
Christmas. In fact, she opens a
Christmas boutique right next to his
favorite restaurant, ruining his
appetite. His appetite for food,
that is. Once he sets eyes on this
woman, his other appetites are
raging out of control. He's so
cute! As some of you know, I like
to write about somewhat klutzy
heroines. I thought it would be
fun, this time, to do a hero whose
klutzy quotient shoots through the
roof when he gets close to his soulmate. As soon as I figure out
how to post excerpts, I will post
some for all of my books, including
HOT FOR CHRISTMAS--but remember I
suffer from techno-tardation, so it
may be a while.
My next contracted book, HIP DEEP,
has been set aside while I work on
the synopsis for HOT FOR CHRISTMAS,
but I plan to get back to it soon--I
left Devon and Jamie in a very
heated situation and am anxious to
see where it leads!
A few years ago I judged a wonderful
manuscript in a contest--can't
remember which contest now--the
entry was titled Resurrecting Gertie.
I was so please to hear Dorchester
bought the book and it is now
released as TALK GERTIE TO ME--isn't
that a great title? I just love
it! The book was written by Lois
Winston. A while ago, Lois posted
on one of my author loops that she
was having a contest to name her
latest book and I WON!!!!
Dorchester loved my choice,
evidently and LOVE, LIES & A DOUBLE
SHOT OF DECEPTION will have my name
on the acknowledgment page. And
that's not all! I also get an
autographed copy when the book comes
out in June 2007. Woo-hoo!!! Free
books--life is good!
I hope everyone has a safe and happy
Fourth of July. Happy reading!
