April
2006 Newsletter
April already! Hard
to believe, isn’t it? March was a very busy month for me. We sold and
closed on two houses and are now homeless until our new house is built!
My husband and I drove to San Diego for the San Diego Spring Into
Romance conference and “celebrity booksigning”--I signed copies of
Pleasure Beach…does that make me a celebrity? Ha! I wish! It was a
hoot, though, seeing all the people from my aunt’s senior citizen
complex and signing their books. My biggest fan there was a 102-year-old retired English teacher who praised
Pleasure Beach as being
“grammatically correct”!
I turned in the book
formerly known as ALL THAT GLITTERS before I left for San Diego.
Kensington finally came up with a new title. It is now called
GIVE ME
MORE. I can only assume it will still be a 2007 release. I’ll keep you
posted.
Pleasure Beach is
still on the shelf at most bookstores and doing very well, I’m told. My
next release, COWBOY IN PARADISE(in The Cowboy anthology), ISBN
0-7582-1528-2 will be an August release. ALL FIRED UP (in
The
Firefighter anthology) will be a February 2007 release. I’ll have to
post the ISBN later. My cover for The Firefighter should be coming
soon--I’ll post it when I get it.
I’m currently working
on my next book--a single title erotic action/adventure/romantic
comedy--tentatively called HIP DEEP. The hero is a struggling mystery
writer by night, apartment manager by day, who augments his income by
writing catalogue copy for a sex toy catalogue. As soon as I figure out
how to post excerpts, I’ll post some. Please be patient--remember, I’m
a techno-tard!
The first winner of my
site contest was Sanjay Srinivas--congratulations! Your t-shirt will be
on its way as soon as I find my pattern.
Happy Spring! P.J.
